Our story
The name Paimés comes from the Catalan phrase “Pa i més,” meaning “Bread and more.”
During holidays visiting my grandparents in Sant Llorenç Savall, a small town in Catalunya - Spain, my grandmother would tuck money into my pocket and send me to the local obrador (a traditional bakery) every morning to buy coca and magdalenas for breakfast. I still remember stepping inside—the warmth of the bakery and the scent of fresh bakes filling the air.
Years later, I became a baker and inherited her 50-year-old recipe book. Every time I bake from it, I’m taken back to those mornings, reliving the flavours and aromas that shaped my love for baking.
After sharing them with my British partner and friends, I realised how much joy it brought me to see others enjoy them too. That’s why I created Paimés—to share the flavors of Spain, made with the same love and tradition that first inspired me.
Thank you for being a part of this journey—I can’t wait to share these creations with you.
